and Happiness
Laura Rowley is the personal
finance columnist for Self Magazine and writes a
bi-weekly column on money and happiness for Yahoo
Finance. She is the author of
Money & Happiness:
A Guide to Living the Good Life
(John Wiley & Sons, 2005), a personal finance book
that shows readers how to
align
their money and their values. Rowley is also the
author of a successful business book, On
Target: How the World's Hottest
Retailer Hit a Bull's-eye, published by
John Wiley & Sons in 2003 and issued in paperback in
2004. Her freelance work has appeared in The New
York Times, Parents, Baby Talk and other
publications. Rowley spent five years as a
reporter/producer for CNN in New York, reporting on
air for "Your Money," and "Business Unusual" and
producing live programs. She was previously editor
in chief of Multi Housing News, a national trade
magazine for builders and developers, and an editor
with the United Nations Chronicle. Rowley is a
frequent commentator on money issues and a featured
speaker at conventions and executive roundtables.
Rowley has
been interviewed on Good Morning America, CNBC, Fox
Network, Bloomberg Television, Oxygen Media,
Associated Press radio and numerous other radio
programs and print publications, including the Wall
Street Journal. She holds a Masters of Divinity from
New York Theological Seminary, a bachelor's degree
cum laude in journalism from the University of
Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a premier degree in
French studies from the University of Burgundy in
France.
